Foundation

Conventional poured or block foundation or slab Provided by your local builder.

First Floor Sub Floor

Conventional girders, joists, lally columns and plywood. Provided by your local builder, design by Yankee Barn

Walls

True Wall Panels: Living space walls are YBH Shop-built exterior wall panels of 2x6 studs 24" o.c. with 4" foil faced rigid polyisocyanurate insulation (R-25.3), and sheathed with 5/8" CDX plywood outside skin. In addition, we factory install most windows into the walls.
Non living area walls are YBH walls with framing, sheathing and windows installed only. Insulation and interior finish by others.

Siding

Kiln dried 1x8 White Pine shiplap prestained in your choice of factory applied color Siding is applied over house wrap on site.

Trim

2" Prestained Rough Sawn Pine Barn Style Trim. Window trim applied at our factory where applicable. Balance of trim loose shipped and applied on site.

Roof

True Roof Panels: YBH Shop-built roof panels complete with insulation and top and bottom skins attached to 2x6 rafters, 16" o.c. 1/2" Blueboard interior, and 5/8" CDX plywood exterior with 5 1/4" foil faced rigid polyisocyanurate insulation (R-33.4) between the rafters. Option available for and (R-41) with 2x8 rafters.

2nd Floor Decking

2x8 joists, 16"o.c. with 3/4" tongue and groove Advantek® sub floor. Finish ceiling below is by builder

Windows

Andersen® 200 series clad windows with argon filled, high performance insulating glass, pre-installed in panels whenever possible. Casement windows with screens are the most popular window. Standard includes removable interior grilles, four exterior color options.

Doors

Pre-hung Simpson® #7324 Two panel Douglas Fir entrance.

Stairs

Pre assembled Southern Yellow Pine stringers and includes newel posts, balusters and handrail.

Also Included

Wrought head decorative nails, galvanized common nails, construction adhesive, aluminum flashing, expandable foam gaskets, insulation foam spray.

Home Packaging

After each new home is completed in our factory, all components are carefully labeled and protectively-packed for shipment, including building and assembly manual. A YBH Shell Specialist is standard with your package. The Shell Specialist works with your builder to assemble the YBH package onsite.

Not Included: Foundation, Slab, or First Floor, Barn Doors, Cupola, Roofing Material, shell specialist variable cost, and use tax.
